Infant-Toddler Environments Improvement Grant Eligibility

Your program must meet all the following criteria:

  • Licensed family child care or center-based program serving infants or toddlers anywhere in Massachusetts.  Please note that this program is available to independent family child care and systems-affiliated providers as well as center-based infant-toddler programs.  Unlike our other grant programs, a center does not have to be a non-profit organization to qualify for this program.
  • You must be a program that has been in existence for at least 3 years as of January 1, 2010.
  • You must serve at least one infant or toddler who meets EEC income eligibility guidelines and received a subsidy as of April 15, 2010.
  • You must offer a program that serves the needs of working parents.
  • You must agree to participate in a future MA Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) process to receive a QRIS rating.
  • You must participate in two training sessions offered from October 16 - December 7, 2010 to qualify for a grant application in January 2011.  The training calendar will be available by September 16.
  • All grants will be for equipment to improve the environment for infants or toddlers in your care.
